About me

I am a Colombian Service Designer based in London. I have a background in International Relations, Corporate Communications & Change Management. As a Designer, I have led projects, co-designed strategies and delivered people-centered programs in sectors such as Government, Education and Healthcare, working closely with stakeholders at all levels in the Public, Private and Third sector. Before transitioning to Service Design, I led, for over a period of 5 years, a remote, international team of passionate individuals to move an overlooked Employee Engagement department to a strategic level.

I discovered Service Design accidentally when I decided to quit my job to pursue a Master's Degree. For me, thinking about the experience of someone and understanding the context around was just common sense, and I was not sure you could study that. Chatting with people that I found interesting, I stumbled upon a term: Human Centered Design. And that was when I realized that I had been applying its principles intuitively for years. Finding design was a joy as it gave me the words, structure and method to complement my mindset and keep doing what I love.

Today, my leadership level, relationship building, change, people and project management previous experience, in combination with my design skills, systemic mindset and radical empathy are the perfect cocktail that allows me to take on complex programs of work and create spaces for strong partnerships to flourish.

Currently, I am on the mission of bringing my knowledge and experience of co-designing inclusive services in the Public Sector to organizations designing programs, strategies, services and digital products to address the Climate Crisis.

Looking forward to understanding your challenges and supporting you in your goals.

My principles

Based on human behaviours and their intrinsical needs.

With a decolonialized mindset and with a bottom-up approach.

Directly WITH the people impacted by whatever is being designed.

I believe that strategies, programs, services and policies should be purposefully designed:

With a circular mindset to reuse and upcycle existing knowledge, strategies and programs and avoid losing the value already created.

With a circular mindset to consider the larger sector, avoid duplication and make sure collective intelligence & cross-sector collaboration are the norm.

Considering the local context and the long term impacts of the solutions we are designing on humans and the earth systems.
